Scott Eugene McClain '69
Scott Eugene McClain, 63, a life-long resident of Millinocket died peacefully at Eastern Maine Medical Center on October 28, 2010. He was the son of the late Eugene and Arlene McClain. Scott is survived by his children, Amy Spagone and her husband Kevin of Guilford, Connecticut, Shawn Stormann and his partner Carter Stormann of Takaka, New Zealand and brother, Robert McClain of Millinocket. He has two grandchildren, Avery and Mason Spagone. Scott graduated from Stearns High School in 1965 and from Maine Maritime Academy in 1969 and spent many years working as a mechanical engineer for various companies in Maine and Connecticut. He was always a fond fisherman, outdoorsman, and gardener and known to many for his delicious homemade pickles. Scott will be cremated at Mount Hope Cemetary in Bangor, Maine, followed by a private family ceremony.
The family requests that if you would like to honor Scott's life in any way, remember him on your next fishing trip, or you may make a donation to Baxter State Park, on his behalf. Scott passed on with an abundance of love and comfort needed to move on to a better life. We love you Dad!
