Robert M. Deering '56
Robert M. Deering, 76, commander, US Navy, retired, died February 26, 2011. He was born in Brooks, Maine, the son of the late Bernard and Addie Deering. He graduated from Orono High School, Maine Maritime Academy and Naval War College. Robert served in the US Navy during Vietnam and several stations throughout his 30-year career. Robert is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his sons, Scott and Mark and their families; two brothers, Dana and Willard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Robert will be interred at Arlington National Cemetary.
