Edgar “Tim” S. Catlin ’47, died in Brunswick, Maine on May 14, 2010. After graduation from MMA, he received his bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College in 1950. Then he served as a Lieutenant/gunnery officer aboard the USS Hollis during the Korean Conflict. Over the years, he worked for Central Maine Power Co., the Portland Press Herald, and the Pejepscot Paper Co. In the 1960s, he owned and operated Visa-Tray, a stamp collection company. As President of Abel Realty Co., he purchased the Brunswick train station property and developed one of Brunswick’s first shopping centers. He was a former member of the Brunswick Zoning Board.
He was a devoted single parent to his five children, all of whom survive him.
