Frank Leavitt Allen '47
Frank Leavitt Allen ’47 died April 25, 2010 in San Mateo, California. He was commissioned a US Navy reserve ensign and went on to Bowdoin College where he received his bachelor’s degree in 1951. He also obtained a master’s degree in business from California State University at Hayward. During the Korean Conflict, he served as an executive officer of troop transports. After his discharge, he settled in Maine and worked for Strasenberg Labs. He was promoted to regional sales manager and moved to San Mateo, California in 1959. He retired in 1991 from Merck and Company as a senior sales representative.
While in California, he was a member of St. Gregory Church, San Mateo, and a former Eucharistic minister. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nadine.
