MACFADDEN, David P. 77, of Pinellas Park, died on Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Hospice House Woodside. He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy (Gregan) and James MacFadden and his brother Robert. Born in Greenville, ME on Oct. 2, 1932, Dave graduated from the Maine Maritime Academy and then served in the U.S. Navy for close to 10 years. He then worked as an industrial engineer at U.S. Steel. Dave then entered the plastic film industry where he was a plant engineer and plant manager for many years. He was heralded in the industry as a troubleshooter and R&D consultant. He continued to work in this field until his retirement and then moved to Florida in 1990. In his retirement, Dave enjoyed living at the Mainlands, Unit 5, where he was past president of the Home Owner\'s Association, enjoyed golfing with his buddies, poker night on Thursdays and was active in the Men\'s club and assisted his friend Don in serving many meals. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Denise; daughter Laura; son Jay (Vickie) and two grandsons, Tyler and Justin. He was loved very much and will be deeply missed. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at 10:30 am at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 9111 90th Ave. N. Largo.
